Post 3: Personal Opinion
Today I’d
like to talk about some news that we usually see on mass media, but this news
don’t really have an importance for the country or society in general.
Every day we are covered and somehow, bombed by some really stupid and non-important news.
Personally,
I don’t really like it and that’s one of the reasons why I don’t watch much TV.
I really get that some people like to know all that stuff, and the same people
is who feed this, but in my personal opinion all this wasted time could be used
for some more important topics, like really important information on some
cultural stuff.
An example
of this could be the fight between Raquel Argandoña’s children, Raquel and
Ignacio Calderon, news related to this where everywhere during days, and
included every single version of the fight, and of course what other
celebrities said about the fight too.
My opinion
about this misuse of space and time is not necessary at all, and can be
considered a bad way of making journalism. I really think that we spend five
years in college for something more than writing about famous people’s fights
or all the stuff that mass media consider important or relevant. We all should
give attention to things that are really important and that could affect us somehow.
I absolutely agree with you. I'm just afraid such a change -giving real problems or important matters the deserved space on mass media- unfortunately is not going to happen as long as the audience keep consuming those messages, or mediatic products.
